Abel Korzeniowski’s score for A Single Man flowed through the venue as rising bubbles provided the perfect backdrop for Alberta Ferretti’s spring collection. If I were to put a face to the entire collection I would envision Ariel from The Little Mermaid once she has become a stylish human being that exudes glamour.
Everything from the ocean hued colour palette to the pearly embellishments fed into the from sea to catwalk vibe. Sheer organza and lace overlay were heavily embellished with beaded fringes, sequins and paillettes for a highly detailed glamours finish. One of my favourite details was the sequinned fisherman’s netting featured on many of the dresses which fit perfectly into the inspiration of the collection without coming off as cheesy.
